Fixing things

Fixing things

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog. Today I want to talk about my addiction to fixing items and that I find it a hobby. Since I was a child I would play with Lego build it up to perfection be really proud and then destroy it to build again. These days I will get any chance that I can to open anything up and try to fix it. My last project was a flat screen TV, it just stopped working one day and I was quite pleased to be honest. So I took the TV apart checking for burnt out components and/or breakages but I could see nothing to the eye. I cheated and watched a little bit of YouTube to get an understanding and actually fixed it. It was simply a fuse in the back of the TV, if I threw it away that would have cost loads to get a new one…..

I will give anything ago from electronics to woodwork and the best bit is it takes up my spare time in a sometimes productive way, if I succeed in fixing the problem. Sometimes being a bit of a D.I.Y guy it can cost you more when things go wrong, For example if I buy a new glass window and try to fit it myself then break it, this is a second window you will have to buy. So when doing D.I.Y you must take precautions and think of every possible bad outcome before you start. This way if you create a great foundation to work with, building up from there should be a piece of cake. Hope you enjoyed the short read! I will be back soon enough with my latest project!!
